
National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFCorp) chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Salleh Ismail is suing PKR's Nurul Izzah Anwar and Datuk Saifuddin Nasution over allegations against the feedlot company. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, February 4, 2015.The High Court today allowed the application by Datuk Seri Mohamad Salleh Ismail to amend his reply to the statements of defence from Nurul Izzah Anwar and Datuk Saifuddin Nasution in a defamation suit over the purchase of eight units of property at KL Eco City.Judge Datuk Hue Siew Kheng made the decision in chambers in the presence of counsel Syed Ismat Syed Muhammad, representing Salleh and his company National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFCorp), as the plaintiffs, and counsel Shahid Adli Kamarudin, representing Nurul Izzah who is Lembah Pantai MP, and Saifuddin (PKR secretary-general at the time), as the defendants.Syed Ismat said the court allowed Mohamad Salleh's application after hearing the submissions from both sides and fixed March 3 for case management.He said the court also allowed Nurul Izzah and Saifuddin to recall their witnesses to testify at the hearing of the lawsuit.Salleh and Nurul Izzah completed giving their testimonies on January 5 and 7 this year.However, Salleh, who is NFCorp executive chairman, filed an application to amend his reply to the defendants' statements of defence by including details on malice intent in the defamation suit.He and NFCorp had on December 24, 2013, filed the suit, claiming that Nurul Izzah had made a statement on the revelation by PKR strategic director Mohd Rafizi Ramli alleging that Salleh had bought eight units of property at KL Eco City using funds allocated for NFCorp. Nurul Izzah's statement was broadcast by Malaysiakini TV on March 7, 2012.In his statement of claim, Salleh said Nurul Izzah's statement implied that he and his family had misused the NFCorp funds to purchase the property for their own use. – Bernama, February 4, 2015.
